Dear Readers

As John Merrels said last month, you have a new editor for a couple of issues.

For a while now I've had the chance to read and comment on contributions for Overload . This has inspired me to take up John's offer to further broaden my horizons by editing a couple of issues of Overload .

As well as a new editor this month, we also have a new start for Overload . After my editorial you will read an announcement from Alan Griffiths, the C++ SIG organiser.

What effect will this have on Overload ? Given the varied set of articles published, there will be no immediately visible effects. We will continue to publish high quality material that will hopefully be of interest to you, the readers.

In the longer term I hope this shift in emphasis will encourage more contributions from those of you who maybe don't work with C++ on a day-to-day basis.
